My Story
Ever since I was a young kid I had a heart for God, His Word and His Church. I came to know Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was about 5 years old. I went through a lot of difficult times in my childhood including my parent's divorce, and praying to God and trusting in His promises in His Word were my refuge. I enjoyed listening to sermons from the time I was around 12, especially from the pastor at our church at the time, who used a lot of sports analogies. I developed a passion for the Word of God and anything or anyone that exalted itself above the Word of God would stir up righteous anger within me.
I always loved sports, especially baseball and started weight training when I was 13. I was 95lbs as a freshman in high school and lacked confidence because I was so small. I built a very nice 30-piece gym in my parents' un-attached garage. Due to a big growth spurt and being very disciplined and diligent in my weight training program, when I graduated high school I was 180 pounds. This transformed my physical body and gave me a lot more self-confidence, but I still required a lot of growth spiritually. I still didn't know what God's plan and purpose for my life was at that point, but I did my best to seek God in everything I did. I ended up graduating college with a major in Sports Management and spent 20 years selling exercise equipment in fitness specialty stores.
During all this time the biggest cry of my heart was to talk about God and His Word and to help Christians live a joy-filled, purposeful life that brings glory and honor to God. My wife and I got married right before the pandemic. Like a lot of people, the pandemic led to a lot of soul-searching. I knew it was the time in my life for change. I started a time of deep introspection, looking back at everything God had led me through and what He had put on my heart.
I had explored starting a Christian coaching business 15 years ago, but still believed there were some things I needed to work through in my life. When my wife and I started our life together after the pandemic, God gave me the opportunity with the support of my wife to pursue my passion and Total Christian Coaching is the platform I believe God has given to us. I wasted a lot of years being stubborn and not surrendering every area of my life under the Lordship of Christ.
I want to use my life experience to help Christians in their own life move out of inaction and frustration to live a joyful life filled with passion and purpose. I want to help my clients move forward in their life and not waste years waiting on God when He has already given us enough information in His Word to take the next step. Total Christian Coaching is all about getting our clients to get in motion and walking by faith not by sight as God unfolds His will for their life step by step.
